Assimilation

One day, on a spur of the moment decision, a lady bug wanders into an ant colony; just to see what it was like. she is out of place, and noticed right away that she was greeted with malicious stares, and whispers... yet she wandered around inside taking in all there was to see...  after the initial shock of the lady bug in their midst, the army was called forth to destroy the invader... she tried to run, but was caught in the center of a mob of stinging ants... there was no way out, she lost strength....
She died, slowly and painfully in the center of the ant colony with no one to help...

Moral: Christians did the same to Pagans...  assimilate or die... and is still the same today, for most... not all. People like to say they are following Christ, doing God's work... but are they really?  I have met some really amazing Christians and I have met some people like the ants... you can't be in their lives unless you fit their mold, have their label, etc.... is this really the path of Christ?? Did Christ shun someone because of something he said, or how he looked? Did Christ talk to only Christians?? I want you too look around.... see the people standing beside you.. are they any less of  a person because they are Buddhist? Do you not both have two eyes, legs, a nose? Aren't you made the same? Did God make you any better than him? The Bible says God created everything... EVERYTHING!!!! Why is one person better than another because of his Label?? Because of his religious title?? Why is it so important to put down another man because of his beliefs??? What do you gain from that?? Why not believe what you believe, and trust that God will take care of those others, as well as you... It is not your worry what that man does in his home, or in his church... and your business is not his.... why is it so hard to see that every human is human... is God's creation?? Why is it so hard to walk away smiling because you know that God made people, and every person is different, thus, God made the opportunity for you to learn something new every single day... if only you take a step away from your "Christian" label, and talk to someone who may not know Christ, but knows Buddha....  you may learn something... I guess my point is.... be Christian... Treat others as you would be treated.... the Golden Rule...  it is basically the same in every religion.... follow it.... learn from others, and love them regardless of their beliefs....  then u can call your selves followers of Christ....

newest poem in a long time...

Love Dies in the Arms of itself

Little rose fallen of the stem

Dying in the mud…

Little bird left alone and cold

Dying in the sun…

Little window shattered in the hail

Pieces glitter in the dirt…

Little life crushed by words

Dying in his arms…

Suffocating  sound

Piercing pain

Smothering heart beat….

Rocks tumble down

Trees crash

Windows break

Life dies

Love dies

In the arms of itself

LET'S GET SKINNY!!!!!

Today I was required to journal about a radical product that has become commonplace in our society. the first thing that popped into my little mind was diet pills. Look how much money those people make telling women they are fat... it's not just women, but in general women care more about their weight.  i am unsure when the first diet pill came into existence, but i am willing to bet 50 years ago if a woman was worried about her weight, she exercised, went to a gym of some sort maybe, worked out at home... something. Now though, it seems that every time we see a large person, in our minds we offer them some "get skinny quick."  Has it ever occurred to people that those same adds directed to large people, also affect young people? Did you know, I heard this from a teacher, an eight year old girl nearly died of anorexia? EIGHT yeas old... Tell me that isn't crap! These companies make money telling women they are fat.. they sell skinny in a bottle... just look at the commercials... impossibly skinny women in bikinis on beaches surrounded by hot guys... it sounds so good.. but in all reality, is it worth it? Did that little girl's mom think so? These products and commercials reach not only the ears of overweight men and women... but also the innocent ears of youth who need to know it is ok to be "average" even though that term is being skewed as well.. now average means size 3... I am a size 9.. and I would be considered to heavy in the world of modeling... sad huh?
Someone tell me it's not wrong to be mad... please tell me i am not alone in thinking that normal girls should be told they are beautiful as they are, not shown skinny models and expected to be like that??
I don't know what else to say.. this topic is so infuriating, I could rant for days on it.... to think.. and eight year old who is anorexic...
